Jessica - A Deity, A Goddess, A Force to Be Reckoned With

Last year, I had just moved back to North Dakota after living in Arizona for five years and was looking to reconnect and jump back into photography. I put a model call out and Jessica graciously volunteered!

When we discussed the vision for the shoot, we aligned on starting with general portraits and then moving into something more creative, centered around the concept of “goddess/deity”.

We started out with some standard portraits and then dove into the creative session! Jessica is absolutely stunning and it was so fun to work with her!

One thing I really enjoyed about the location, was all of the options available! And of course the lighting variations! It was Autumn so the leaves were a beautiful variation of yellows, oranges, and reds that complimented Jessica’s stunning blue eyes very well!

Of course with any portrait session, I’m breaking out the Petzval 85mm lens! Jessica looks absolutely dreamy and ethereal in these images, don’t you think?

And now we’ve arrived at my absolute favorite images from this day. Jessica really embodied goddess energy and the North Dakota sky said “hey, let me help you out and add the drama!”. YES the sky is real in these photos! I didn’t add them in!

For this portion of the shoot, Jessica actually wore a bridesmaid gown from Revelry!

I feel so lucky and appreciative to have been able to capture Jessica’s beauty and grace on camera. My favorite thing about Jessica is that she is an absolute force in everything she does and it shows in her ability to form long lasting connections with people. I truly loved working with Jessica to help her vision come to life during this session! I hope these photos will help serve as a reminder of her power and amazingness ♥
